We're a small workshop, so your message goes straight to Ewald and the people who make your board — no call centre, no ticket queue. We read every one and usually reply within a few working days, sooner where we can. If it's about an order you've already placed, include your order number and it'll reach the right place faster.

Where we are

Every piece is made by hand by Ewald in a workshop outside Selby, in North Yorkshire. We're an online studio that ships across Great Britain & Northern Ireland — there's no shopfront to visit, but you're always welcome to get in touch.

That's an office address for post and paperwork — the workshop itself isn't open to visitors, and it isn't where finished boards or returns are sent. If you need to post something to us, write first and we'll tell you where it should go and how to pack it.

We make solid wooden chopping boards — oak, walnut and other British-supplied hardwoods, in end-grain and edge-grain, finished with food-safe oil. If you'd like to see the range before you write, the shop and the timber library are a good place to start.
