Every board is made ahead in small batches and listed with live availability; most ship from stock, dispatched within 1 working day. If a piece is made to order, its page says so — with the lead time — before you buy.
Which wood should I choose?
Oak is hard, open-grained and pale gold; walnut is deep chocolate brown and gentle on knife edges; cherry, beech, maple, ash, purpleheart and tulipwood each have their own colour, grain and working character. The choice is largely about appearance, feel and intended use — the woods guide covers each timber in detail.
