About this piece
The Langley is a walnut-led board with a quiet, moody face and a warm golden streak running through the centre. The darker outer frame gives the piece a composed edge, while the long-grain surface keeps the look calm rather than busy.
At 4 cm thick and close to 3 kg, it has proper counter presence. A juice groove, softened edges, recessed grips and rubber feet make it practical for daily prep, carving and serving, while the natural figure keeps each view of the board individual.

A dark, temperamental timber - quiet under oil, dramatic under light.
A deep chocolate-brown hardwood that develops warmer, sometimes violet undertones when oiled. Black Walnut is slightly softer than oak, with a richer, more expressive grain that makes it a striking choice for a chopping board meant to be looked at as well as used. Durable enough for regular use, but prized just as much for its depth, contrast, and the way it ages beautifully.
Care instructions
Wash by hand with mild soap and warm water. Towel dry straight away and stand the board on edge until fully dry.
Do not soak, dishwash, or leave beside direct heat. Re-oil when the surface starts to look dry; for regular use, every 4-8 weeks is a sensible rhythm.

We ship to Great Britain & Northern Ireland: a flat £9.97, added at checkout, and free on orders of £200 or more. Sent by Royal Mail 24 once dispatched — usually with you the next working day. Each piece is packed in a recycled card box. Change your mind within 14 days of delivery and you can return a piece; the postage to us is yours. Boards engraved with your wording or routed with a juice groove, and bespoke commissions, are the exception. If something's wrong with a piece, we pay the postage both ways for the first six months; from six to twelve months, under the workmanship guarantee, you send it to us and we pay to send it back. Returns are easy — write to us first.
