About this piece

The Harlow is a long oak end-grain board with a fine, almost woven grain across the working face. It has the proportions of a dependable daily prep board, wide enough for vegetables and bread while staying comfortable to lift and clean.

The juice groove, side grips and rubber feet are practical rather than showy details, helping the board settle in use and move easily when needed. The end-grain face is forgiving under a knife and will take on a deeper character as the finish is renewed over time.

The timber
European Oak
Quercus robur · Germany

Pale gold, open-grained, and built for work - the classic European bench timber.

A pale honey-gold hardwood that deepens beautifully with age and oil. European Oak is strong, open-grained, and famously durable, long used in furniture, joinery, beams, and hard-working surfaces across Europe. Best for chopping boards and pieces that need to feel solid, practical, and made for real everyday use.

Care instructions

Wash by hand with mild soap. Towel dry. Re-oil every 6-8 weeks with food-safe oil.
