The Fulford is cut from a single piece of steamed European beech, with calm long grain and softly rounded edges. Its compact 30 x 20 cm format is easy to move and gives enough room for bread, fruit and everyday preparation.
One face is kept plain while the reverse is framed by a routed juice groove, so the board can move between simple chopping and tidier carving or serving. The supplied examples also show a restrained laser dedication on the working face, offered separately without changing the underlying board.
Quiet, pale, and practical - the dependable workhorse of European hardwoods.
A pale, creamy hardwood with a fine, even grain and a calm, understated character. European Beech is harder than cherry and walnut, making it a dependable choice for everyday boards, kitchen tools, and functional pieces that need to stand up to regular use. Its subtle colour and smooth surface let the form of the piece do the talking. Simple, honest, and quietly durable.
Wash by hand with mild soap and dry promptly. Do not soak or place in a dishwasher. Re-oil with food-safe board oil when the surface begins to look dry, keeping both faces exposed to air while drying.
We ship to Great Britain & Northern Ireland: a flat £9.97, added at checkout, and free on orders of £200 or more. Sent by Royal Mail 24 once dispatched — usually with you the next working day. Each piece is packed in a recycled card box. Made-to-order items can be returned within 14 days unless they've been used; bespoke commissions — and boards engraved with your wording — are non-returnable, though your rights on faulty goods are unaffected.
