The Otley is an end-grain oak and beech chopping board with a checkerboard face in warm, closely related timber tones. Oak's visible growth rings sit beside the finer beech grain, giving each block a different character. The 40.3 x 25.5 cm working surface leaves room for bread, vegetables and everyday preparation, then carries small bites to the table.
A 3.4 cm profile gives the board a substantial feel without the depth of a large butcher's block. The rectangular shape has softly rounded edges, and the Timbermere mark sits along the long side. At 2.62 kg, it has a reassuring weight on the worktop. Its plain working face keeps the grain pattern uninterrupted. Finished with food-safe oil and wax.
Pale gold, open-grained, and built for work - the classic European bench timber.
A pale honey-gold hardwood that deepens beautifully with age and oil. European Oak is strong, open-grained, and famously durable, long used in furniture, joinery, beams, and hard-working surfaces across Europe. Best for chopping boards and pieces that need to feel solid, practical, and made for real everyday use.
Quiet, pale, and practical - the dependable workhorse of European hardwoods.
A pale, creamy hardwood with a fine, even grain and a calm, understated character. European Beech is harder than cherry and walnut, making it a dependable choice for everyday boards, kitchen tools, and functional pieces that need to stand up to regular use. Its subtle colour and smooth surface let the form of the piece do the talking. Simple, honest, and quietly durable.
Wash by hand with mild soap and dry promptly. Do not soak or put in a dishwasher. Allow both faces to dry after cleaning, and refresh with food-safe board oil and wax when the surface begins to look dry.
