The Settle is an oak and walnut end-grain butcher's block, built in a regular checkerboard of warm oak and dark walnut. Its 37.5 x 24.5 cm working face suits chopping, slicing and bread preparation, with enough space to lay out cheese and small bites for the table. Exposed growth rings give each square its own grain detail within the repeated pattern.
The 5 cm depth gives this compact block a substantial profile, while softened corners and edges keep it comfortable to handle. Each board weighs 2.90 kg and carries the Timbermere mark on the side. The finish follows our usual food-safe oil and wax, renewed as the working surface begins to look dry.
Pale gold, open-grained, and built for work - the classic European bench timber.
A pale honey-gold hardwood that deepens beautifully with age and oil. European Oak is strong, open-grained, and famously durable, long used in furniture, joinery, beams, and hard-working surfaces across Europe. Best for chopping boards and pieces that need to feel solid, practical, and made for real everyday use.
A dark, temperamental timber - quiet under oil, dramatic under light.
A deep chocolate-brown hardwood that develops warmer, sometimes violet undertones when oiled. Black Walnut is slightly softer than oak, with a richer, more expressive grain that makes it a striking choice for a chopping board meant to be looked at as well as used. Durable enough for regular use, but prized just as much for its depth, contrast, and the way it ages beautifully.
Wash by hand with mild soap and dry promptly. Do not soak or put in a dishwasher. Let both faces dry after cleaning, and refresh with food-safe board oil and wax when the surface begins to look dry.
