The Ridings is a substantial end-grain European oak butcher's block for chopping, jointing and carving. Its 42 x 35.5 cm working face leaves room for a roast, a loaf or the day's preparation. At 9 cm thick and 10.4 kg, this is a piece to give a settled place on the worktop, with a broad cutting surface and the oak's growth rings visible across the face.
The softened edges ease the transition from working face to deep side profile. Two fitted metal side handles give handholds when repositioning the block, and the Timbermere mark sits on the side. The oak is finished with food-safe oil and wax. Its generous depth and warm end-grain pattern give it a presence that carries from food preparation to carving at the counter.
Pale gold, open-grained, and built for work - the classic European bench timber.
A pale honey-gold hardwood that deepens beautifully with age and oil. European Oak is strong, open-grained, and famously durable, long used in furniture, joinery, beams, and hard-working surfaces across Europe. Best for chopping boards and pieces that need to feel solid, practical, and made for real everyday use.
Wash by hand with mild soap and dry promptly. Do not soak or put in a dishwasher. Allow every face to dry after cleaning, and refresh with food-safe board oil and wax when needed.
